Collaboration Tools
In addition to commonly used social media apps, the following tools can be useful when collaborating online. Please note that some of these tools might not be accessible in some countries. If you’re not sure if a tool is available to your COIL partner, check with them before utilizing it.
- Zoom
- The free version of this video conferencing tool allows for unlimited one-to-one meetings as well as group meetings (up to 100 participants) that last up to 40 minutes.
- Doodle Polls
- Click on +Create a Doodle in the top right corner to create a free online poll that helps you determine when your teammates are available to meet.
- Google Drive
- Google Drive and related Google apps such as Docs, Slides, and Sheets allow you to collaborate with your teammates by sharing editing permissions and storing information in the cloud.
- Padlet
- Padlet is like a virtual bulletin board where you can post all kinds of things, from photos and links to files. It includes some easy collaboration tools that will help you share information with your classmates.
- WhatsApp
- WhatsApp allows teams or groups to conduct one-to-one or group chats with text, photos, videos, document sharing, and more.
