SUNY Oneonta, the host campus for the SUNY COIL Center, is proud to host the 2024 SUNY COIL Academy free of cost for all participants. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for those attending in person.

As we approach 20 years of SUNY COIL, join us for SUNY COIL Academy 2024 @ SUNY Oneonta! We’ll celebrate our successes, expand the reach of SUNY COIL, and build our community around global collaboration, locally and internationally. While many needed structures help get COIL into the classroom—including recruiting faculty, supporting faculty and students through the process, and fostering reflection opportunities—it is vital to situate COIL in its support of a range of campus initiatives. These include career development, curricular pathways, experiential learning, and campus strategic priorities. At its core, COIL opportunities help students recognize their agency to impact the world around them, creating a broader sense of well-being and purpose. At the SUNY COIL Academy, we will focus on the value COIL brings to students and to higher education more broadly.
Whether you’re new to COIL, curious about COIL’s value for strategic initiatives, or ready to share your wisdom from COIL experiences, the SUNY COIL Academy @ SUNY Oneonta will help you connect with resources, educators, and students. Experienced faculty, administrators, and students will celebrate COIL’s strengths and values, showcase the communities that have helped COIL flourish on their campuses, and explore local and global support for those interested in joining COIL.
Global integrative learning expert, Dr. Dawn Michele Whitehead, Vice President, Office for Global Citizenship, American Association of Colleges and Universities (AACU), will lead our keynote session.
