COILab: Activities to implement COIL at the UAM

From February to April 2025, Laura Torres (professor at the Department of Philology and its Didactics) attended, as a representative of the UAM, the meetings of the SUNY COIL Global Network , a global community of practice dedicated to the promotion and training on virtual exchanges and COIL (Collaborative Online Intercultural Learning). She  also participated in the COIL Coordinator Workshop, held from March 10th to 28th , where she shared with COIL coordinators from other international universities possible strategies and infrastructures necessary for the development of COIL in higher education. These actions  have initiated the establishment of contacts for the realization of COIL projects among university professors and have been exchanged good practices with COIL coordinators from all over the world with a view to a possible implementation of a COIL support unit at the UAM.
