Dr. Shamika Mitchell is English faculty at SUNY Rockland. Her interests are comics studies, Hip Hop, subjectivity and American literature. She joined COIL in 2015, and has partnered with six international universities in Mexico, China, Iraq, Brazil, and Egypt.
“COIL is a precious opportunity for students to have a global experience in a collaborative setting. The richness of sharing course content allows for creative approaches to instruction design and planning. The greatest challenge is navigating time zones, but it is always worth it!”
