Jonathon Little is a Professor of Geography at Monroe Community College where he teaches Physical Geography and Geospatial Technology courses. He has received numerous grants to support international collaboration, including a 100,000 Strong in the Americas grant with a Colombian university, as well as a SUNY Innovative Instructional Technology Grant that developed remote workforce opportunities across New York State and Colombia. As Principal Investigator for three National Science Foundation Advanced Technological Education grants ($1.5 million+), he has built a growing Geospatial Information Science and Technology (GIST) workforce program, which includes additional remote workforce partnerships and virtual internships with two German institutions, Tanzania, Malawi, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Colombia. Jonathon Little served as a Fulbright Specialist in Kazakhstan and received the AACC Dale P. Parnell Distinguished Faculty Recognition award. He was also Cornell Community College International Fellow with the Institute for African Development, and is currently a SUNY AI Fellow.
