Dr. MC. Montoya published an article, “Utilizing COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) to Foster Intercultural Communicative Competence (ICC) in Language Courses,” in Innovations in Learning, A SUNY Focused Teaching Journal. The article describes how SUNY Oneonta and Universidad del Valle have implemented COIL through modules developed over nine years of collaboration. UniValle faculty and students will visit Oneonta this October to discuss institutionalizing COIL across the curriculum.
