She holds a Ph.D. in Journalism, Media, and Culture from Cardiff University (2024), a Master’s in Communication from the University of Queensland (2014), and a B.Sc. in Finance from Sultan Qaboos University (2011). As part of the SUNY COIL initiative, she co-led a one year virtual exchange project on public speaking promoting intercultural learning and global engagement.
“Participating in COIL has been a transformative experience—for both me and my students. It opened a space for authentic intercultural dialogue, challenged us to navigate communication across cultural and linguistic differences, and fostered global citizenship within the classroom. While coordinating across time zones and academic calendars had its logistical challenges, the rewards of seeing students grow in confidence, empathy, and global awareness far outweighed them.”
