Michael J. Pisani is Professor of International Business, Central Michigan University (Mt. Pleasant, MI). Dr. Pisani’s research concerns the intersection of international business and development, and includes specific interests in entrepreneurship, economic informality, cross-border business and economic phenomena. His geographic focus is in the Americas, including a special focus on the Texas-Mexico borderlands, Latinos in the US, Central America, and Paraguay. Professor Pisani has authored more than 135 articles and book chapters and six books, including “Batos, Bolillos, Pochos, and Pelados: Class and Culture on the South Texas Border”, revised edition (co-author, University of Texas Press, 2017). Dr. Pisani served as a US Fulbright Scholar to Paraguay in 2019, hosted by Centro de Análisis y Difusión de la Economía Paraguaya (CADEP) and La Universidad Católica. Professor Pisani has involved his business and economics classes in cross-cultural virtual studies since 2018.
