
Lynda Carroll

Lynda Carroll is an adjunct professor of Anthropology at SUNY Broome Community College in Binghamton, New York. She is a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Anthropology, Binghamton University. In 2015 she was awarded the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching. From 2014 to 2023 she partnered with three COIL faculty from Mexico, and one from Brazil. She has presented and offered workshops at several COIL Conferences. She has held several fellowships, including COIL fellowships for the Brazil Virtual Exchange (BRAVE) Academy, a Latin American Academy Fellowship, and the Latin American Academy Fellowship – Multistate Program. In 2019 she received a Digital Pedagogy Lab Fellowship from the University of Mary Washington. In 2019 she was co-awarded a 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Fund Grant from the U.S. State Department and the Mary Street Jenkins Foundation Grants to establish a partnership between SUNY Broome and la University de Celaya, Mexico. This grant supported a study abroad program about Storytelling and Heritage, which included a travel component.
