Christine Marchese
Nassau Community College, United States
Christine Marchese is a professor of business at Nassau Community College where she has been an enthusiastic educator since 2007. While working in private industry, she earned her M.B.A. before pursuing her Ph. D. in knowledge organization; her research interests include knowledge creation and mapping in business environments. Of the many joys of teaching in the transformative environment of community college, Chris values the relationships she builds with students and the applied learning opportunities she can offer them. A lifelong learner, her love of collaboration and appreciation of cultural exchange led her to her initial involvement in COIL in 2015, and her dedication to its mission has only grown since. She has piloted a variety of digital learning tools during this time, developing her expertise in emerging educational technologies. She is grateful for the invaluable learning experiences COIL has afforded to both her and her students.
“COIL has afforded my students the opportunity to be a part of a virtual community where they find support to grow in their studies and their applied learning in business. What they enjoy most is the cultural exchange and making new connections. They always find that communication is key!”
