
Catherine Roche

Catherine Roche is a resident professor in the Business Department at SUNY Rockland Community College in Suffern, New York. In 2013 she was awarded the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. She is a former Business Department and Business and Professional Studies Division Chair. From 2014 to 2024 she served as COIL Coordinator, an initiative she introduced to the campus. Since 2016 she has developed and delivered many COIL collaborations with professors and students from Morocco, the Netherlands, Colombia, and Poland. In addition, she has facilitated five cohorts with Iraq and Jordan through the Global Solutions Sustainability Challenge, another virtual exchange platform. She is an advocate for online and experiential learning, incorporates OER materials into all classes and has served as a mentor for business honors and internship students. She has co-authored seven publications and has presented at numerous national and international conferences.
