The COIL Center is embarking on a partnership with Linkr in order to bring you a new and improved partnering experience! Watch for more information to be released in Fall 2018!
COIL Networks allows faculty members in the SUNY COIL Network and Global Partner Network to create a profile for the purpose of finding a COIL partner. Regular membership in the COIL Networks is limited to professors affiliated with institutions listed on the SUNY COIL Network and Global Partner Network pages and other special invitations. To join COIL Networks you can request an account or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you already have an account, you can login at https://coilnetworks.ning.com.
In order to facilitate COIL partnership matching for the Spring 2018 Academy we will be distributing a COIL Partnership Bulletin and will hold a Virtual Partnership Fair. The Partnership Bulletin and Fair are for all faculty who are seeking a new COIL teaching partner. New professor pairings are not required to enroll in the COIL Academy if they have already done so – though all are welcome!
- April 23rd – Distribute the Partnership Bulletin Document to all coordinators for distribution to professors
- April 30th – Hold the Virtual Partnership Fair between SUNY & Global Faculty
- May 7th – Deadline for SUNY & Global Faculty to submit the COIL Partnership Proposal Form for the Spring Academy (if they choose to enroll)
- May 14th to June 30th – SUNY & Global Faculty participate in the COIL Academy 6-week online workshop
Please complete, or ask faculty to complete, the Partnership Bulletin Contact and Academic information so that we can compile the COIL Partnership Bulletin.
After distributing the bulletin, we will hold the Virtual Partnership Fair on Monday, April 30th in the morning (New York Time). The fair will be an online meeting for introductions and conversation, and will provide space for potential partners to continue the conversation online. After submitting your information for the Partnership Bulletin, we will be in touch with more information about the Partnership Fair.
***The COIL Academy is only open to partnerships that include a SUNY professor and a Global Partner Network professor. At this time, we cannot support professors based at other US institutions or partnerships between two Global faculty. In order to apply for the COIL Academy, complete the COIL Course Partnership Proposal for the Academy and obtain a nomination letter/email from your COIL Coordinator***
