Professional Development Program

Overview and Timeline


One of the primary goals of SUNY’s Center for Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) is to encourage and support the development of course-based partnerships between SUNY campuses and higher education institutions in other countries. The COIL Center has created a professional development program to support selected faculty as they develop and pilot equitable, team-taught courses which emphasize experiential and collaborative student learning. These may also serve as a basis for the creation of long-term sustainable international partnerships between the participant campuses. We welcome faculty from any discipline into these programs as COIL collaborations often lend themselves well to interdisciplinary partnerships. Below is a general timeline for the Professional Development program which includes:
