    We are pleased to annouce that the SUNY COIL Center is hiring a Program Coordinator for International Collaborations. The selected individuals will provide pedagogical, instructional design, and administrative support for several COIL projects across SUNY and internationally, including training and supporting faculty and staff as they develop globally network courses and programs with international partners. The incumbent will assist with the COIL Institute Capstone Conference and 5th Annual COIL Conference, and act as community manager for COIL’s new user-centered website, an international hub for sharing experiences and technical and pedagogical best practices related to globally networked learning.   • Mark your calendars for the 5th Annual COIL Conference

    Next year's COIL Conference will take place April 3rd and 4th, 2013 at the SUNY Global Center in New York City. This annual event brings together faculty, international educators, instructional technologists, and administrators from SUNY, across the U.S. and around the world to share their experiences developing Globally Networked Learning courses, initiatives and best practices. This is a leading international event focused on this emerging teaching and learning methodology in higher education which provides innovative cost-effective internationalization strategies for fostering faculty and student exchange with peers abroad through online and blended multicultural learning environments.

    More details about the conference including a Call for Presentations will be annouced in early December.

  • 4th COIL Conference - June 7-8, 2012 - SUNY Global Center - NYC

    The 4th COIL Conference held June 7-8, 2012 at the SUNY Global Center brought together over 130 faculty members, international programs staff, instructional design/technology staff, and upper-level university administrators from 25+ SUNY campuses as well as 50+ other institutions from around the USA and abroad. Attendees were provided with a rich overview of the developing field of globally networked learning and had the opportunity to network and share experiences and innovative teaching models.

    This year's conference was truly a globally networked event with a dozen presenters joining us remotely via videoconference from such locations as Belize, Italy, Panama and the U.K. More than 140 people from around the world also registered to take part in the live webcast of the conference.
