Announcing our New COIL Team Member!!
COIL is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Guth as COIL's Program Coordinator for International Collaborations!
Some of you may know Sarah from her role as a track leader of in the COIL Institute for Globally Networked Learning in the Humanities. Sarah's early tasks will be focused on assisting us with leading that 3-year project towards its Capstone event taking place April 2-3, 2013 just before our annual conference. Once those events take place she will be involved in other COIL project including our Nodal Network. Below is a brief bio of her background.

Sarah Guth has taught English as a Foreign Language for over 15 years. Before coming to COIL she was at the University of Padova, Italy where she began implementing the use of technology for language learning. For over a decade she has carried out telecollaboration projects partnering her students in Italy with students from the U.S., the Middle East, and Europe. She is a member of the EU-funded project INTENT, which though focused on language learning, has many aims in common with the COIL Institute, primarily that of normalizing the practice of telecollaboration (or GNLEs) in higher education institutions in order to promote intercultural learning. Her research interests lie in the areas of computer-mediated communication and the use of technology in language learning; intercultural communication, telecollaboration, Web 2.0 and multiliteracies.
