Nodal Network Meeting
Friday, November 12th 2010.
For the first time, representatives from all seven Nodal Network campuses (Purchase; Ulster; Binghamton; Delhi; Cortland; New Paltz and Cobleskill) convened at COIL's new home, the SUNY Global Center in Midtown Manhattan, to discuss plans for the upcoming year. The meeting included a range of discussions of new and existing initiatives around SUNY including a presentation on the Levin Institute's New York In The World project by Rebecca Smolar (seen above) and a discussion of COIL's planned participation in Levin's Global Workforce Project.
Also during the meeting, Prof. Rubin, COIL's director, announced a new Nodal Network Faculty Development Grant to help faculty at these campuses build COIL courses in one of three modalities: two week online lectures/presentations linked to shared student reflections; 3-6 course modules; and 7 week or more full course.
